Who provides the app

PXCH Rooms is an app for iPhone and Mac published by Nicolas Rowe. This policy describes the app’s local features, its use of PXCH’s hosted meeting service, and the handling of beta and app-support information. Contact nicolas@pxch.ai with “PXCH Rooms privacy” in your message.

The app opens PXCH’s meeting service inside the app. That service is provided by PXCH.COM L.L.C. and has its own PXCH privacy policy. Meeting hosts and other websites you use may also handle information under their own policies.

Information kept on your device

The app saves complete invitations, the room names you choose, favorites, and dates rooms were saved or opened. This makes it possible to find and reopen rooms. An invitation can contain access details or attribution information, so share it only with intended guests.

The saved-room library stays in the app’s local storage on each device. On iPhone it uses iOS file protection; on Mac it uses the app’s sandbox with file access restricted to your user account. The app marks the library as excluded from system backups. There is no app-provided sync between iPhone and Mac, and the library is not uploaded to a separate app-publisher server. Opening a room sends its invitation to the destination service so it can process access.

Meeting websites keep cookies and other website data in the app’s persistent web storage. This may include authentication and guest details you ask the website to remember. Host account sign-in also uses this website storage. It is separate from Safari and from the other device’s sign-in. It remains until the website expires or removes it or you clear the app’s web data. Deleting the iPhone app removes its local data; removing the Mac application alone may leave its container data behind. Use the in-app clearing controls before uninstalling on Mac.

The app does not add an advertising or analytics SDK. This statement applies to the native app; it does not mean PXCH’s service, interactive websites, or TestFlight collect no information.

Information used during a meeting

When you open and participate in a meeting, PXCH and its service providers receive information needed to deliver it. PXCH’s published service policy describes collection of guest or account details, IP and device/network information, approximate location, meeting activity and performance information, messages, and shared files. These can be associated with you or your meeting. The policy describes using service information to operate, secure, support, analyze, and improve the service.

Your name and content you share can be visible to the host and other participants. PXCH’s service policy distinguishes routing live audio, video, and screen sharing from retaining content through cloud recording. Hosts may enable recording or other service features. Ask the host about recording and how meeting information will be used before sharing sensitive content.

PXCH describes its service collection, sharing, retention, transfers, and rights in its privacy policy. Its published policy states that its products are hosted and operated in the United States. The app publisher does not control the host’s recordings or the service’s storage. Features such as recording or transcription may send additional meeting content to the service and its providers when enabled. PXCH’s policy describes sharing with affiliates and providers for processing, storage, and service delivery, and keeping information as needed for the stated purposes or legal requirements; it does not give a single fixed retention period. Interactive websites may receive information directly when you visit, sign in, submit a form, book, or buy through them. Review the relevant website’s privacy policy. Clearing the app’s local data does not delete information already sent to these services.

Advertising and tracking

Data from people joining meetings through PXCH Rooms is not sent to advertising partners or data brokers, and is not combined with other companies’ data for advertising. This applies to PXCH’s handling of PXCH Rooms meeting data, including the hosted meeting service used inside the app. The native iPhone and Mac apps do not add advertising or analytics SDKs.

PXCH’s general service policy includes broader descriptions of advertising technologies. Those descriptions do not describe the use of PXCH Rooms meeting data for advertising; the scope of that data is clarified above. Necessary service processing, security and performance information, and TestFlight diagnostics are separate from advertising tracking.

Independent websites opened as interactive meeting content have their own practices. This statement does not promise that every third-party site you choose to visit is free of advertising or tracking. Review its policy and privacy choices before signing in or submitting information.

Camera, microphone, and device permissions

Camera access is used for meeting video when you enable it and, on iPhone, to scan invitation QR codes. Microphone access is used for meeting audio when you enable it. QR scanning passes a recognized invitation into the join form; the native scanner does not save or upload camera images.

You can allow or revoke permissions in iPhone Settings or Mac System Settings → Privacy & Security. Meeting sites can also request access, and hosts may restrict your controls. Revoking access may prevent the relevant feature from working. The app does not request access to your contacts or precise location.

Downloaded meeting files

Files you choose to download are stored temporarily for in-app preview or sharing. On iPhone the app applies iOS file protection; on Mac temporary files stay in the app’s sandbox with access restricted to your user account. The app marks this temporary storage as excluded from system backups.

The app attempts to remove temporary files when the meeting page closes, and removes leftover temporary files when a new meeting download session is created after an unexpected termination. You can also remove individual files in Meeting files. On Mac, Save a copy lets you choose a destination outside the app. When you select a file for upload through a meeting website, that file is sent to the destination service; selecting files does not give the app general access to your documents. Files saved or shared to another app, Files, or another person remain under the destination’s controls.

TestFlight, beta requests, and support

During TestFlight testing, Apple automatically collects crash and usage information and shares it with the app provider. Feedback you submit can include comments, screenshots, and device information. Email-invited testers’ names and email addresses may also be visible to the provider. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy information.

We use beta requests, support messages, and TestFlight information to manage testing, respond to you, diagnose problems, and improve PXCH Rooms. If you email us, the mailbox provider also processes your address, message, and any attachments. Send only information needed for your request.

Support and beta correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request, administer testing, or meet applicable legal obligations. We review information when a request or beta participation ends and remove information no longer needed. Apple retains TestFlight data under its own policy. Contact us to request access or deletion of app-support or beta information available to us.

The app’s information pages

The /rooms overview, support, and privacy pages do not load the website’s optional Google Analytics tag or add advertising trackers. The hosting service receives ordinary connection information, such as IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect the site. Shared site typography is provided through Google Fonts, which also receives connection information when fonts load.

Other pages on pxch.ai use the website’s existing analytics. Following links to PXCH, Apple, or another service takes you to that service’s information practices. We do not put meeting invitations or personal information into app-page analytics events.

Your choices and requests

• Saved rooms: remove a room through its menu. This deletes the local saved entry, not the host’s meeting.
• Website sign-in and remembered details: after leaving your meeting, use Help → Clear web sign-in. This clears the app’s website storage and leaves saved rooms intact.
• Permissions: review camera and microphone access in iPhone Settings or Mac System Settings → Privacy & Security. Leave the meeting to stop participating.
• Local app data: on iPhone, deleting the app removes its local data, while offloading can preserve it. On Mac, remove saved invitations and use Clear web sign-in before uninstalling; deleting the application alone may leave its local container. Copies you saved elsewhere and backups made independently remain under your control.
• Service-side information: contact PXCH or the relevant meeting host or website for account, meeting, or recording requests. Local deletion does not send such a request.
• App-support and beta information: email the contact below to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need enough information to verify the request.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent, obtain a copy of your information, or contact a privacy regulator. Tell us which information and service your request concerns so it can reach the responsible party.

Updates and contact

We will update this page when the app’s information practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will also be identified in app or beta release information.
